55+ Community
As we welcome the New Year, 2024 is an opportunity for residents of our 55-plus community in Utah to engage in activities that enhance their health, happiness and sense of belonging. Let’s explore ways to stay active and connected throughout the seasons this year.

Winter Wonderland Walks

Utah’s winter offers a picturesque setting for leisurely strolls. Wrap up warm and wander through local parks or our community’s trails. The crisp, clean air and tranquil snow-covered landscapes provide a refreshing and peaceful form of exercise. Remember to be safe and avoid any walkways that look icy.

Indoor Fitness Classes

When the outside chill is too biting, you can consider signing up for fitness classes near our community. With a close proximity to so many things in Utah County, you should have no problem finding health and wellness classes nearby. Maybe this is your year to try a yoga class!

Join a Book Club

A book club is a perfect indoor activity, especially for Utah’s colder months. It not only stimulates the mind but also fosters social connections. Engage in spirited discussions and delve into various literary worlds, expanding your horizons while staying comfortably indoors.

Gardening in Spring

As winter thaws to reveal blooming flowers and verdant landscapes, gardening emerges as a favorite pastime for retired individuals. Consider cultivating your preferred flora, be it ornamental flowers, fragrant herbs or fresh vegetables. You’ll enjoy a peaceful activity while getting some fresh air.

Bird Watching Adventures

Spring also marks the ideal time for bird watching. Utah boasts a rich variety of bird species, making this activity both relaxing and engaging. It’s a delightful way to enjoy nature’s wonders at a leisurely pace.

Hiking and Nature Walks

Summer in Utah opens the doors to exploring the state’s natural splendor. Hikes and nature walks in and around Saratoga Springs cater to different fitness levels and are a fantastic way to maintain physical health while soaking in breathtaking landscapes.

Fishing at a Nearby Lake

Utah is home to several lakes, making it an ideal destination for fishing enthusiasts of all levels. Spend a day at the lake, cast your line and relax in the serene surroundings while waiting for a bite.

Picnics and Outdoor Gatherings

Warm summer days are perfect for picnics and outdoor social events. Our community puts you in close proximity to several parks, offering a chance to enjoy good food, great company and the beauty of Utah’s outdoors.

Art and Craft Workshops

Creativity knows no season. Year-round art and craft workshops encourage artistic expression and skill development. From painting and pottery to crafting, these sessions are a great way to engage the mind and foster a sense of accomplishment.

Community Volunteering

Staying active isn’t just about physical activity. Community volunteering opportunities provide a sense of purpose and connection. Whether it’s helping in local shelters, organizing charity events or participating in community beautification projects, these activities enrich both the lives of our seniors and the wider community.

Staying active as a senior encompasses a blend of physical, mental and social activities. Each season in Utah brings its own unique opportunities, and we encourage our residents to embrace them all in the year 2024. Let’s make this year one of health, happiness and community engagement!
